The book contains 65-70 selected poems conducted by Somali Women. Traditionally Women dominated the composition of Somali Songs and arts. There are many poems specifically addressing weddings, farming, household works, animal grazing, as well as many poems which are related to the events of the Somali civil war. Many poems are specifically conducted for gender equality and many other important issues. The book was published in April 2007 by Scansom Publishers
